CATHERINE ALCORN

Aussie stage sensation, Catherine Alcorn stars in her hilarious cabaret, The Divine Miss Bette! The show successfully made its debut US tour in 2018 to SOLD OUT audiences including Los Angeles, Tucson, San Diego, New York and Palm Springs.

Hailed by critics as “a hit!” (Time Out Sydney) and “masterful” (The Courier Mail) with “a voice to die for” (The Australian), the Aussie artist has been thrilling audiences with her magnificent voice and razor sharp wit and is renowned as “a jewel in the crown of Australian cabaret” – Adelaide Now

This your chance to become intimately acquainted with one of the greatest cabaret artists of our time in Catherine’s critically acclaimed role channelling The People’s Diva, Bette Midler.

Trained by Steve Ostrow, the man who discovered Midler, Alcorn will take you on a thrilling roller coaster ride back to the Palace Theatre, New York 1973 as she belts out the divas early classics including Stay With Me Baby, You’re Moving Out Today, The Rose, Wind Beneath My Wings, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, and In The Mood.

Expect: A rollicking ride: a huge voice, with sass and heart to boot.

THE CRITICS SAID...

"See this diva before she's on broadway!" - Georgia Costello, THEATRE ALIVE

"What a performer! Alcorn is practically flawless. A rare gift."- THEATREPEOPLE.COM.AU

- AUSSIE THEATRE

“The show is like a snort of something expensive and naughty” – Stage Noise Sydney

“She’s bloody talented. She can sing. She can act. She has comic timing...the confidence, the unmitigated chutzpah…”

– Crikey Sydney

“Between the tall tales, double entendre, and tongue-in-cheek vulgarity, the heartache behind the humour, most evident in Alcorn's rendition of Am I Blue, elevates her titillating tribute to a tender triumph.” – The West Australian

“The Idolize Speigeltent was packed with an adoring audience who rose to her every command. Alcorn’s voice is superb. Her length and pitch on the final notes of ‘Am I Blue’ has to be heard to be believed” – Aussie Theatre Perth

“A helluva lot of butt-wiggling, boob squeezing and classic Midler filth…you won’t be disappointed by Alcorn’s charisma, energy and sharp comedic timing on stage.” – Out in Perth

“Alcorn's beautifully trained voice oscillates between musical hits spanning the past 40 years” – Theatre People Melbourne

“From the moment the Divine Miss Bette, aka Catherine Alcorn fluttered onto stage, she had the audience wrapped around her little finger in what was a thoroughly rapturous performance.” – Theatre People Melbourne
