STARRING NICK HARDCASTLE

Orry’s life was a wild and exciting ride! A ride that led him from Kiama, a small coastal Australian town, to Hollywood and a career spanning 30 years.

Creator of some of the most iconic looks of Hollywood’s Golden Age, Orry designed costumes and gowns for 285 films including 42nd Street, Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, Oklahoma and Jezebel. He won Oscars for An American in Paris, Les Girls and Some Like It Hot and a further nomination for Gypsy.

‘ORRY’ is an adaptation of Orry Kelly’s recently published memoir ‘Women I’ve Undressed’, a treasure trove of stories, served up by the whip tongue and quick wit of an unapologetically gay Australian rascal. It includes an incredible cast of characters including George Burns, Cole Porter, Jack Warner, Mae West, Bette Davis, Marilyn Monroe, Erroll Flynn, Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, Cary Grant and many, many more, told from a unique voice that we have never heard before.

Featuring new arrangements of classic songs from the Golden Age of Hollywood such as ‘Oh What A Beautiful Morning’, ‘Street of Dreams’, ‘Hooray for Hollywood’ and more.
